Accountable Care Organization (ACO) Readiness

Recent passage of the Health Reform Act has resulted in a myriad of proposed changes impacting providers (physicians and hospitals), payers and patients.  While specifics related to the changes have yet to be fully defined, it is clear that collaboration, aligned incentives, integration, connectivity and accountability will be hallmark characteristics of the new model(s) of care.  Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs) will be at the core of the proposed changes as the organizational mechanism to facilitate realization of the delivery system overhaul.
